California Visitor's Guide

California Visitor's GuideThe following information is for 2008 guide ... watch for updates later in 2008 to see if this program will again be offered for the 2009 California Visitor's Guide.

2008 Visitor Guide Listings - CLOSED

Information below provided for your information only.

Camp-California Marketing has once again created a unique opportunity to list your park in the Official State Visitor Guide & Travel Planner published by Sunset Magazine.  Over 500,000 copies are distributed to visitors from California, states surrounding California, the rest of the United States and the world!  Additionally, your listing is duplicated on visitcalifornia.com with over 2 million visitors annually.

Again this year RV parks & campgrounds have the opportunity to be on an even playing field with hotels.  The redesigned Visitor Guide offers easy to read grid formats, “Best of” articles promoting each region, easy to read maps and lots of things to do.

The special rate of $375 instead of $925 has been negotiated for CalARVC members.  That’s a $550 savings!

Things to remember when placing your order:

  • Use the link in this email. If you do not, you will be charged the full rate of $925 for your listing -- rather than the rate of $375 Camp-California Marketing has negotiated! By using this link they know you are affiliated with CalARVC.

The form is simple to complete. To make it easier, you'll want to be prepared with the following information:

  • Click on “Start a Listing” and select “Where to Stay”
  • Company/Billing Information & Contact Information -- these fields are for billing & contact information only.  They will not be printed in the Visitor's Guide.
  • Listing Information -- this is the information that will be printed in the Visitor's Guide for the consumer to read:
    • Industry -- Be sure to select "Where to Stay"
    • Business name & address
    • Descriptive Copy -- you must have a minimum of 190 characters and no more than 206 (including spaces). If you want to include "CalARVC Member" in your listing, add it here.
    • Toll Free number, email, website
  • Lodging Information - – New this year – Only list the room rate and number of rooms if you actually have some sort of rental unit (motel, cabins, park trailers, etc.).  You will need to email your actual number of RV sites to mari@calarvc.com here at the CalARVC office.  If we do not receive an email from you, we will use the number of sites you list in CTPA's California RV Travel & Camping Guide.  We have negotiated a special tag line for RV parks & campgrounds that will separate out your number of RV sites from your number of rental units.

CalARVC & Sunset Publishing reserve the right to edit your listings.

  • Deadline is September 9, 2007
  • Optional – If you are unable to access the website or have difficulties you may fax in your listing.  However, this method will require significant staff time.  Only use this if necessary.
