RVing REWARDS! Scratchers

What are Scratchers?

Small cards that the recipient scratches off film to reveal a prize. These cards are distributed at participating locations - which are listed in the camping guide as well as on Camp-California.com.

On July 27, 2010, at the California State Fair, the first RVing REWARDS! Scratcher program concluded with one Finalist winning the Grand Prize ... an RV. We are pleased to announce that CrossRoads RV (a division of Thor Industries) has partnered with us to provide a Slingshot Ultralight Trailer.

How can Scratchers work for you? As a participating location you ...

• Will receive additional promotion via press releases about the RV Giveaway at the California State Fair.
• Are listed on the page at Camp-California.com that lists the distribution locations
• Benefit from the promotion in the monthly California Campin' enewsletter
• Can use the RV Giveaway to entice your guests to come camping - now!

What do I need to do to participate?

Just complete this online form. A supply of Scratchers will be mailed to your park. Hand them out to any camper who asks for one ... or feature them in your park's newsletter ... "come camping and get a chance to win a FREE RV!" That's PR that's worth thousands and you didn't have to do all the work. You just pay a small fee for each scratcher distributed. In late July you will be asked to return any unused scratchers and will be billed for those distributed.

You may distribute scratchers without choosing to participate in the RVing REWARDS! program ... each program stands alone.

Offer Free Camping Prize

One of the prizes on the Scratchers is FREE CAMPING. This is a certificate for 2-nights, 3-days camping. Winners can choose from a list of parks who have agreed to offer certificates. The list is posted at Camp-California.com and parks receive recognition for their participation. These Free Camping certificates are distributed in two ways: 1) Free Camping is revealed under the film on a scratcher; and 2) They are announced over the PA and awarded to winners of camping games at the California Camping Adventures at the state fair. This is a fabulous way to get new campers to try your park -- and you're supporting the efforts made on your behalf to stimulate interest in camping to a new market.
